Got Another "New" CPK Show Pony Today This One Is Grey With Grey Mane But It Needed A Good Cleaning As There Was Very Obvious Dirt Spots On The Plush Fur :(

Here's What The Water Looked Like After A Short Soak

Here's The Clean Skin

Here's The Saddle And Bridle That I Have To Put Back On After The Skin Dries

I Probably Won't Be Restuffing It For At Least A Week (Waiting For My Stuffing Order To Arrive)

It Was More Than Just Dirt Spots Though I Didn't Take A Picture Of The Inside Of The Skin (Stupid Me) But You Would Have Seen That It Was Rather Badly Stained Almost Like It Was Surface Washed But With Too Much Water And It Caused The Dyes/Inks From The Synthetic Stuffing To Bleed Through The Fur In Places

That's the way to do it! Take the stuffing out and wash the skin by hand. I haven't washed a plush in almost 20 years, though. I get used to their smells, and I tend to simply lose interest in them after one's washed. If I bought a used one and it was dirty to begin with, though, that would be a different story. Then washing would be required for me to develop a bond with it. (I don't want someone else's grime or whatever on my plush. Ewww.)

This One Was Simply Too Grungy Looking To Enjoy As It Was (But I Couldn't Resist Buying It Anyway As The Pony Had The Saddle And Bridle Which Are Important To Me) (I Wish I Had Took A Picture Of The Inside Of The Skin Before I Put It In To Soak).I've Had To Wash Quite A Few Of My Second Paw Purchases Over The Years (Odors Like Smoke/Stains Which Are Easier To Get Out Of A "Flat" Plush) So I've Gotten In The Habit Of "Gutting" Them First

You're So Funny Kat :) . Having The Bridle Off Is The Only Way To Wash These Without Risk Of Ruining The Bridle (And The Bridle/Saddle Combination Is Most Important To Me As ALL Of My CPK Show Ponies Have Saddles/Bridles)
